RK X BERNINA A DROP OF SUNSHINE

The open source sustainable fashion collection "A Drop of Sunshine" in collaboration with Bernina Schweiz is an alchemical combination of sun and water. Flowing shapes and bright colours form the hybrid aesthetics of the designer's two worlds, West Africa and Switzerland. All the patterns of the collection are free downloadable to sew yourself at home. The collection includes a selection of sustainable fabrics such as recycled Italian wool from Manteco, flowing handwoven cotton from ITC Ethical Fashion Initiative made in Burkina Faso and dead stock fabrics from Parisian fashion houses by Nona Source. All the accessories are do-it-together upcycling projects made with  leftovers from the fashion collection. A series of upcycling workshops at Maison Shift in Zürich were set up to experience upcycling first hand and to transform used fabric scraps from the collection into unique accessories.
